5 Straight Wins for Dragonblood
The Niagara Falls Expos got a superb performance from pitcher Dao-zi Zhai. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Yellowknife. The Dragonblood won the game, 3-2. In spite of the loss, Zhai was named the player of the game. He threw 8 innings of 7-hit ball. Yellowknife reliever Roberto Muñóz was the winner. His record is now 3-0. Washington Scarpenti took the loss. Yellowknife has 5 straight wins, Niagara Falls 4 straight losses.

When he came to bat in the bottom of the 11th, Chong-yee Au-Yong had a chance to end it. Niagara Falls pitcher Washington Scarpenti had other ideas. But with two outs, Au-Yong hit a walk-off run-scoring single. The Dragonblood had the walk-off win.

"This place sure got loud," said Dan Joseph, the Yellowknife manager.
