The Ballpark on the Beach was the site of a competitive game between the South Beach Blaze and Mt. Vernon Bulls.

The Mt. Vernon Bulls eeked out a 5-4 win versus the South Beach Blaze at The Ballpark on the Beach. Nobody did more than pitcher Martín Salazar, who captured player of the game honors. Evan Roy earned the save, his 4th.

The most critical at-bat came in the top of the ninth inning. With one out, António López hit a 0-1 slider from Nésto Gago for a run-scoring single. It put Mt. Vernon in front, 5-4.

"That's the key at this level, throwing strike one," said Salazar. "Successful pitchers do it."

Mt. Vernon goes to 15-20, South Beach to 20-15.
