The Dragonblood had to overcome a fine performance from South Beach pitcher Jules Goux to grab a 3-2 win at The Ballpark on the Beach. Goux went 6.1 innings and allowed 2 earned runs. Yellowknife reliever Pak Dong Hyeon picked up the win, upping his record to 2-5. Toyozo Yoshida shouldered the loss. Jesús Atencio closed it out for his 3rd save.
The most important at-bat for Yellowknife came in the top of the tenth inning. With two out, Cosmo Castanhedo reached on an error by the 2B, driving in 1 run, putting Yellowknife up, 3-2.
"To not win that game stings a little bit," said South Beach manager Lockwood Rose.
Yellowknife currently is in 9th place in the Premier A at 13-20.
