The Nebraska Plainsmen and Niagara Falls Expos obliged those fans who came to Waterfall Park hoping for an exciting game.

Nebraska third baseman Bill Bambridge picked up 3 ribbies while helping his team beat back the Niagara Falls Expos, 7-6. Nebraska starter Gabriel Escobar was credited with the win after throwing 111 pitches over 6.2 innings. His record now stands at 2-2.

Bambridge came through with some timely hitting for Nebraska. With the score 1-0 in the top of the second and two down, Bambridge hit a 1-0 fastball for a 2-run home run. It was his 2nd home run of the season -- and a big reason the Plainsmen managed to win.

"It was offense that won us the game," said winning manager Bill Russell.

The Niagara Falls Expos, now 7-8, continue their sluggish start.
