Grey Wolves Drop Another One

The Montana Pandas bested the Vancouver Grey Wolves, 5-3, at Wolf Den in Vancouver. Pancho Salaedo was named player of the game. He was 1 for 4 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Montana reliever Luis Torres picked up the win, upping his record to 2-0. Job Poppe absorbed the loss. Lawrence Bignold earned the save, his 1st.
Salaedo came through with some timely hitting for Montana. With the score 2-1 in the top of the third and two down, Salaedo hit a first pitch cutter for a 3-run home run. It was his 2nd home run of the season -- and a big reason the Pandas managed to win.
"We're in a funk and we need to shake ourselves out of it," said Vancouver manager David Krause.
The Grey Wolves fall to 6-9 and continue their unimpressive start to the 2027 season.
