Blaze Fall Short at Niagara Falls
|
The South Beach Blaze wasted an inspired, 7.1-inning effort from starter Rob Ford, falling 2-1 to the Niagara Falls Expos at The Ballpark on the Beach. Losses have been few and far between for the South Beach Blaze so far this season. Their record drops to 3-1.
Niagara Falls took the lead in the top of the eighth. With two out and the bases loaded, Hou Kong stroked a 2-run single to make it 2-0, Expos.
"There was no wiggle room in this one," said Kong.
