Bruins Clip Generals in Tight Contest
|
The Bellevue Bruins went home winners at Bellevue Field, thanks in large part to starter Chet Saks. Saks silenced the Washington Generals, enabling Bellevue to grab the 2-1 win. Bellevue reliever Jin Kwon picked up the win, upping his record to 6-5. Baruc Garibay shouldered the loss. This win makes it 1 in a row for Bellevue.
Sancho Tornero was the walk-off hero for Bellevue. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth, the Bellevue designated hitter hit a dramatic run-scoring double to send the teams home.
"Can't say enough about our pitching," said Tornero.
