Solís Lays Hammer Down in 3-2 Win
|
The Phoenix Hotspur U-21 scored a 3-2 win versus the Grim Reapers at Hotspur Kiddie Complex. Phoenix pitcher Alberto Solís nabbed top player honors in the tight contest. Richard Osborn earned the save, his 15th. Phoenix has now won 3 in a row.
Solís tossed 107 pitches over 8 innings to clinch the win for the Hotspur U-21. The right-hander allowed just 4 hits, while racking up 13 strikeouts in the game.
"It was just a matter of executing," said Phoenix manager Rudy Hankins.
