Losing Streak Continues for Storm with 5-2 Loss
Chicago beat Syracuse on the strength of starter Pang Qin's fine effort. The right-hander led his team to a 5-2 win. Qin, now 6-7, was the winner. In 5.1 innings, he gave up 3 hits, while striking out 7, walking 3, and allowing 1 earned run. The Storm have now dropped 9 straight.

A key at-bat in the game came in the bottom of the fourth inning when the Tula sent teenager Eustacio Tafalla to the plate against Storm hurler Rich McLean. With the bases loaded and a whole stadium watching, the kid controlled his nerves and delivered huge, hitting a single off a 0-2 fastball to score 1.

"We're in a funk right now," said Syracuse skipper Chad Hess.
