The Bellevue Bruins eeked out a 6-0 win versus the Grim Reapers at The Coffin. Nobody did more than pitcher Roosevelt Guimond, who captured player of the game honors. Guimond went 5.2 innings to notch the win. He scattered 3 hits, walked 2, and struck out 7. His record improves to 3-2. The third-place Bruins have won 5 in a row.
Ernesto Bea didn't waste any time giving his team the lead. His first time up in the top of the first, he cranked a run-scoring double to put Bellevue on top, 1-0.
"If I go out there and help the team win, that's all you can do," said Guimond.
