Storm Win at Grim, 6-4
|
Syracuse starter Heyg Lamper pitched effectively against the Grim Reapers at The Coffin. The left-hander led his team to a 6-4 win. The winning pitcher was Lamper, now 6-1. He tossed 5 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 1 and fanning 8. The Reapers, at 24-31, have lost 5 straight games.
Sint Nicolas, Aruba-born Eisse Cals came through in the clutch. In the top of the fourth, with a runner on 1st and the Storm trailing 2-1, he hit a 2-run home run to left to put Syracuse on top.
