The Bellevue Bruins did just enough to sneak past the Grand Forks Caterpillars, 4-1, at Bellevue Field. Bellevue pitcher Roosevelt Guimond earned player of the game honors. Jin Kwon recorded the save for Bellevue, his 8th of the season. The Bruins saw their record improve to 19-19.

A key at-bat in the game came in the bottom of the fourth inning when the Bruins sent teenager David Muller to the plate against Caterpillars hurler Dahab Kanda. With runners on 2nd and 3rd and a whole stadium watching, the kid controlled his nerves and delivered huge, hitting a double off a first pitch fastball to score 2.

"One win at a time, one game at a time. We try not to get too far ahead of ourselves," Guimond told the Bellevue Bulletin.
