|
Washington starter Baruc Garibay had a strong outing against the Syracuse Storm at Storm Park. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 6-3 win. The winning pitcher was Garibay, now 5-2. He tossed 5.2 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 4. Trevor Brohard, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 5th save.
Also having an impact was catcher Brant Thigpen, who stroked a 2-run single in the top of the third for Washington. For the game, Thigpen went 2 for 4 with 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI.
