The Put-In-Bay BC went home winners at Put-In-Bay Ballpark, thanks in large part to starter Gerald Bolton. Bolton silenced the Syracuse Storm, enabling Put-In-Bay to grab the 2-1 win. Félix Santiago, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 1st save. Put-In-Bay has run its win streak to 11 in a row.
Mark Keys dealt the Storm a blow in the bottom of the third. Batting with a runner on 2nd and Put-In-Bay leading 1-0, Keys, who is tied for 10th in the SA in hits with 33, hit a 1-0 fastball for a run-scoring single.
"I'll probably toss and turn tonight," Syracuse manager Chad Hess said following the tough loss.
