Generals Stay Hot with 5-2 Win

The Washington Generals topped the Chicago Tula, 5-2, in USSL Single A action at Ramblers Ballpark. The player of the game was Washington pitcher Marco Sledge. Sledge was the winning pitcher and moves to 2-0. He threw 5 innings of 1-hit ball, while fanning 4 and giving up 1 walk. Trevor Brohard earned the save for Washington, his 2nd of the year.
Brant Thigpen didn't waste any time giving his team the lead. His first time up in the top of the first, he cranked a run-scoring single to put Washington on top, 1-0.
