Storm Get One-Run Win at Grand Forks

Syracuse and Grand Forks met at The Cocoon in front of a lively crowd.
The Syracuse Storm stopped the Grand Forks Caterpillars, 8-3, at The Cocoon. The Storm got a big game from Phil Sherman, who was 3-3 with 3 singles and 2 walks, while scoring 2 runs. Collin Ferrer was the winning pitcher. Over 7 innings, he allowed 2 runs on 9 hits, with 1 walk and 1 strikeout.
Eisse Cals was a key contributor to the win for the Storm. In the top of the sixth with two out, the light-hitting designated hitter stroked a single to center. He went 1-2 with 2 walks. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
