Generals Take Tight Tilt
|
Both teams had their chances, but the Washington Generals eventually prevailed at Washington Park.
Washington Generals starter Marco Sledge turned in an exceptional performance against the Put-In-Bay BC at Washington Park, resulting in a Washington win, 4-1. Daniel Ryan earned the save for Washington, his 1st.
In the bottom of the fifth, Washington designated hitter Ricardo Bruno had a productive at-bat. With runners on 1st and 2nd and one out, Bruno stroked a run-scoring single to center. It made the score 2-0, Washington. For the game, he was 2 for 4 with a double, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
"Nice to get this one," said Sledge. "Wins have been hard to come by."
The BC fall to 7-9 and continue their lackluster start in 2027.
