The Syracuse Storm beat the Put-In-Bay BC, 6-4, at Storm Park. The Storm got a fine performance from catcher Scott Donlan, who captured player of the game honors. He went 2 for 3 with a triple and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Dale Kurth finished to wrap up his 3rd save. At 9-2, the Syracuse Storm have played well so far.
António Canales was a key contributor to the win for the Storm. In the bottom of the seventh with one out, the light-hitting third baseman stroked a single to center. He went 1-3 with a walk.
"We did enough to win," said Canales.
