Late Rally by Herons Seals 4th Straight Win

It was a good time at The Heron Refuge, where fans came to watch the Louisiana Dragoons and Hammond Herons get after it.
The Hammond Herons got a strong performance from pitcher Ernest Hawks, who stymied the Louisiana offense en route to a 4-2 win at The Heron Refuge. Hammond has now won 4 games in a row.
The Herons were down to their last out in the bottom of the ninth when designated hitter Rex Scurlock turned a 1-1 curveball from Gary Mason into a 3-run home run. The walk-off home run sent a roar through the crowd and gave Hammond a thrilling 4-2 win.
"It's a thrill to get that kind of win," Hawks said.
