Colón Helps Chukars Run Win Streak to 7
|
Idaho Falls catcher Jorge Colón was instrumental in his team's 6-3 win over the York Revolution. Colón, who is tied for 3rd in the 3A in hits with 55, went 4-4 with 3 runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the Chukars. Dale Hamilton picked up the win with 7 innings of work. He allowed 3 earned runs on 4 hits, while walking 1 and striking out 13. On the season, he is now 6-1. Claudio Palma, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 6th save.
Félix Medina dealt the Revolution a blow in the bottom of the first. Batting with runners on 1st and 2nd and Idaho Falls trailing 2-0, Medina, who is tied for 7th in the 3A in triples with 3, hit a 1-1 fastball for a run-scoring single.
"There's a lot of good karma around our club," said winning manager Dan Anderson.
Idaho Falls leads the Menard's A by 6 games.
