Hipps Brilliant -- Fires No-Hitter
Ira Hipps of the Myrtle Beach Seahawks was certainly the King of the Hill today in the M3L Single A. He really did a number on the Highwood Hawks -- and that number was zero -- the number of hits he gave up in his 1-0 victory at Seahwaks Stadium.

"I can't believe I got a no-hitter!" said an exuberant Hipps after the game. "That is the last thing you think about when you go out to the mound. You just want to win the game. The toughest part was the last couple of innings. Everybody in the ballpark knows you have a no-hitter, including me. That was the hard part, keeping your focus and concentration while your heart is pounding."

Hipps recorded 8 strikeouts and 1 walk in his sensational performance.
