Franson Sensational for Seahawks
|
Neil Franson never let the Mancelona Torch find their groove. Throughout the game, Franson, who is tied for 4th in the 3A in wins with 4, relied on his bread and butter, his sinker, in pitching the Seahawks to a win. Greyfriars Bobby finished the game for Myrtle Beach and earned his 5th save. The Seahawks bumped their record to 23-14 with this latest triumph.
Though he didn't get a decision, Franson did all he could to keep his team close, twirling a shutout through 7.1 innings, until Myrtle Beach eventually rallied past the Mancelona Torch.
"We've got a great group of guys," Franson said, "and we're having fun right now."
