Sweeney Helps Mango Run Win Streak to 3
|
The Provo Mango topped the Connetquot Chiefs by the score of 10-4, with the largest share of the credit going to center fielder Michael Sweeney. Sweeney was 4-5 with a triple, a double, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 4 times for the Mango. Provo reliever Pablo Gómez picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Kidlat Dakila was saddled with the loss. Provo has now won 3 straight, while the Chiefs have lost 3 in a row.
A key at-bat in the game came in the top of the third inning when the Mango sent teenager Guillermo Carrizales to the plate against Chiefs hurler Kidlat Dakila.
