Tight Tilt Goes to Torch, 2-0
|
The Mancelona Torch got a magnificent performance from pitcher Arturo Guerrero, who muffled the Galesburg offense en route to a tight 2-0 Torch win at Torch Field. Guerrero picked up the win for Mancelona, going 6.2 innings. He gave up no runs on 5 hits. He now sports a record of 4-1. Juan Reyes recorded the save for Mancelona, his 7th of the season.
Blake Snow was a key contributor to the win for the Torch. In the bottom of the sixth with no one out, the light-hitting right fielder stroked a single to right. He went 1-4.
"Some wins are easy, some are difficult, but either way we come to the ballpark ready to work hard every day," Snow told the Mancelona Today.
Mancelona now sits in 5th place in the Menard's A at 14-11.
