Dragoons Rally to Eke Out Win
|
The Louisiana Dragoons picked up a win at Torch Field, knocking off the Mancelona Torch, 5-3. Starting pitcher Sixto Soto was an essential part of his team's success. The 11th-place Dragoons raised their record to 7-14.
The most important at-bat for Louisiana came in the top of the tenth inning, when pinch hitter Domingo Colón stroked a 2-2 slider to center for a 2-run home run, putting Louisiana up, 5-3.
"We battled our tails off to get this win," said Louisiana manager Justin Trewhells.
