Pitcher Neil Franson was sensational for the Myrtle Beach Seahawks in his team's 6-1 triumph over the Louisiana Dragoons. Franson received player of the game honors, while picking up the win. The win takes Myrtle Beach to 11-7.

A key at-bat in the game came in the top of the sixth inning when the Seahawks sent teenager Kelly Drijver to the plate against Dragoons hurler Cornelius Bigelow. With runners on 1st and 2nd and a whole stadium watching, the kid controlled his nerves and delivered huge, hitting a triple off a 0-1 fastball to score 2.

"If we keep winning the close games" said Franson, "we'll be in good shape at the end."
