Misfits Continue Skid, Thanks to Regan, Hops
|
Fans who came to Ricochets Ballpark watched the Yakima Hops and the Salem Misfits fight to the finish.
The Yakima Hops downed the Salem Misfits, 7-2, at Ricochets Ballpark. Jud Regan led the way, going 3-for-4 for Yakima. Brian Walker, who went 5.2 innings, was the winning pitcher. He was charged with 1 run on 6 hits, while walking 3 and striking out 3. His record now stands at 1-1.
Regan had a game-changing double in the top of the second. On a 0-1 curveball from Fred Gunther, he banged a 2-run double to left-center, giving the Hops a 2-0 lead. It was the 9th double of the year for Regan.
"We'll relax tonight and enjoy this win," said Regan.
The 6th-place Misfits have dropped 4 straight games.
