The Asheville Highlanders defeated the San Antonio BC, 13-5. Earning player of the game honors was third baseman Javier Luna, who was 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk. He scored 3 runs and drove in 4. Asheville now sits at 27-45, while San Antonio falls to 28-44.
Héctor Gallegos was a key contributor to the win for the Highlanders. In the top of the seventh with two out, the light-hitting shortstop stroked a single to left. He was 3 for 5 with a triple and 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
