Loss to BC Extends Salem Losing Streak
|
The San Antonio BC stopped the Salem Misfits, 4-3, at San Antonio Field. The BC got a big game from Abraham Phelps, who went 1-3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Cal Haber, credited with the win, is now 5-5. He allowed 3 runs on 10 hits in 8 innings. Marc Morgan earned the save, his 5th.
San Antonio took a 4-1 lead on Phelps's 9th home run of the season. The 3-run home run, which he hit off Fred Gunther in the bottom of the seventh, propelled San Antonio to the win.
"Nice to put this one in the win column," said Phelps.
The Misfits have now dropped 7 straight.
