Pittman Propels Richardson City to 2-0 Win
|
In a low-scoring contest between the Richardson City Thundercats and the Wizarding Express, pitcher Alec Pittman was excellent. The Richardson City left-hander was named the player of the game in Richardson City's 2-0 win. Manuel Franco closed it out for his 6th save. Richardson City now owns a record of 55-41.
Pittman, who dominated for Richardson City, earned the victory to move to 8-4. He was in control the whole game, scattering 3 hits over 7.2 innings, while striking out 5. Wizarding batters could never bunch up enough hits to produce a rally.
"The old adage is true," said Pittman. "Good pitching stops good hitting."
