Lionhearts Clip Highlanders in Tight Contest

The Lannister United Lionhearts and Asheville Highlanders obliged those fans who came to Asheville Park looking for a good time.
Lannister United beat Asheville, 5-4. The win in part was due to right fielder Martín Alejadre, who nabbed player of the game honors. He was 2-4 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. The winner was Emershan Naidoo, who threw 106 pitches over 7.1 innings. The right-hander was charged with 4 runs on 7 hits. Hideaki Hayagawa earned his 4th save in 4 tries.
The outcome might have been different had it not been for Alejadre. In the top of the eighth inning, when the Lionhearts were trailing 4-2, Alejadre delivered a two-out 3-run home run for Lannister United, giving his team the lead.
"I still think this team has room for improvement," Alejadre told the Lannister United Daily.
This win makes it 1 in a row for Lannister United.
