The Little Caesars Hot N Readys and Northville Eclipse obliged those fans who came to The Pizza Oven looking for a good time.
The Little Caesars Hot N Readys picked up a win at The Pizza Oven, knocking off the Northville Eclipse, 5-4. Starting pitcher Sam Groves, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason why. Little Caesars reliever Gerardo Negrón picked up the win, upping his record to 1-1. Ricardo Ramírez took the loss.
Little Caesars took a 5-4 lead in the bottom of the eighth inning, when Greg Scroggins hit a clutch solo home run to bring Hot N Readys fans to their feet.
"It's a mindset," said Groves. "Just trying to do your job, trying to be consistent."
The Hot N Readys saw their record improve to 17-16.
