The Lancaster Farmers got a stellar effort from pitcher Zé Leal, helped Lancaster score a 3-1 win over the visiting San Antonio BC. Picking up the save was Raúl Nieto, his 5th. Today's win puts Lancaster at 11-10, while San Antonio falls to 10-11.
Lancaster took the lead in the bottom of the third on a big hit from Rafael Pueblo. On a 1-1 fastball from Michael Taylor, Pueblo hit a 2-run double. That made it 2-0, Farmers. For the day, Pueblo went 1-3 with a double and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
Pueblo said the team appreciates the support from the fans. "I'm glad we could reward them with a good win," he said after the game.
