Highlanders Topple Eclipse with Late Rally
The Asheville Highlanders picked up a win at Asheville Park, knocking off the Northville Eclipse, 4-3. Starting pitcher Ipe Talboom, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason why. Bobby Irvine finished to wrap up his 1st save. The Asheville Highlanders, now 4-10, have not found much traction so far in 2027.

Asheville took a 4-2 lead in the bottom of the eighth inning, when Marshall Attwood hit a clutch 2-run home run to bring Highlanders fans to their feet.

"Throwing strikes was the main thing," Talboom said.
