Mercer Island played host to Lancaster at the friendly confines of Mercer Island Grounds.

Lancaster catcher António Gonzáles pounded Mercer Island Screaming Eagles pitchers at Mercer Island Grounds, but it was not enough to keep the Farmers from falling, 8-6. Gonzáles went 2-4 with 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice. Mercer Island reliever Paris Nowlin was the winner. His record is now 1-0. The losing pitcher was Manuel Montés. Riley Herrick earned the save, his 5th.

Stephen Dowell contributed an important at-bat in the bottom of the seventh. With runners on 2nd and 3rd, he hit a 2-run single. It was one at-bat that helped send Mercer Island to the win.

The Mercer Island Screaming Eagles, now 8-4, have been on a roll in the early going.
