Screaming Eagles Get 5-2 Win Versus Lancaster
|
The Mercer Island Screaming Eagles got a strong performance from pitcher Jesús López, who stymied the Lancaster offense en route to a 5-2 win at Mercer Island Grounds. Riley Herrick recorded his 4th save for Mercer Island. The Screaming Eagles raised their record to 6-4.
In the bottom of the fifth inning, third baseman Wade Killefer came through big-time for the Screaming Eagles. With Mercer Island leading 2-1, he belted a solo home run.
"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling pretty confident after that win," said López.
