Hops Come Up Short at Little Caesars

The Little Caesars Hot N Readys topped the Yakima Hops, 6-3, in USPL Double A action at The Pizza Oven. The player of the game was Little Caesars pitcher and Homer City, Pennsylvania native Sam Groves. Noah Shellenbarger earned the save, his 1st, for the Hot N Readys. The win pushes Little Caesars to a record of 4-3.
In the bottom of the second inning, shortstop Levi Tess came through big-time for the Hot N Readys. With Little Caesars leading 2-0, he belted a 3-run home run.
Groves told the Little Caesars Observer: "I don't feel you win baseball games by working harder than the other team or 'wanting it more.' You win just by scoring more runs."
