Little Caesars Beats Asheville, 7-1
|
Little Caesars pitcher Felipe Aiba did his part in helping his team beat the Asheville Highlanders, 7-1. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Aiba was the winning pitcher and moves to 1-0. He threw 7.1 innings of 3-hit ball, while fanning 4 and giving up 1 walk. Little Caesars has a mark of 3-3 after the win.
A defensive miscue in the top of the seventh could have cost the Hot N Readys. With Little Caesars leading 2-1, Luis Aragón reached on an error by the 1B, driving in 1 run. In the end, Little Caesars was still able to win the ballgame.
"Some of the guys in here work pretty hard, some of the guys just kind of fall out of bed and get it done. Whatever works I guess, we won this one," Aragón told the Little Caesars Observer.
