Reserves Defeat Nobles, 6-3
|
The Athletic Club KC Reserves eeked out a 6-3 win versus the Bakersfield Nobles at KC Reserve Stadium. Nobody did more than pitcher Ángel Rivera, who captured player of the game honors. The Reserves go to 41-43, putting them 6th in the Premier AAA.
Athletic Club KC took a 6-3 lead in the bottom of the eighth inning, when Thatcher Douglas hit a clutch 3-run home run to bring Reserves fans to their feet.
In postgame comments to the Athletic Club KC Daily, Douglas said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."
