The Plymouth Rocks got a stellar performance from pitcher Rust Cohle, who handcuffed the Gryfindor offense en route to a 3-0 win at Plymouth Quarry. In 7 innings, Cohle surrendered 3 hits, while striking out 4 and walking 1. He allowed no runs. Brian Fixel was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 10 of 13 save opportunities.
The action was intense with one out in the top of the seventh inning. With a runner on 1st and Gryfindor trailing 1-0, Rust Cohle had to face the former first round draft pick Roy Herring, who was hoping to turn the game around. It was not to be, as Herring flied out.
The Rocks bumped their record to 38-35 with this latest triumph.
