Targaryens Fall Short, 4-3, at Vermont
|
Vermont pitcher Cherles Gachineiro did his part in helping his team beat the Royse City Targaryens, 4-3. The left-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Gachineiro picked up the win for Vermont, going 6.1 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 7 hits. He now sports a record of 5-1. At 25-37, the Lake Monsters are currently 9th in the Premier AAA.
Also producing for Vermont was catcher Rodrigo Velasco, who stroked a run-scoring single in the bottom of the third. For the game, Velasco went 1-3 with a walk.
