Braves Deal Fog 6-4 Setback
|
The Gryfindor Braves stopped the Sunset District Fog, 6-4, at Fog Park. The Braves got a big game from Ignacio Medine, who was 2 for 3 with a double and a walk, while scoring 2 times. Octávio Ríos, who went 5.1 innings, was the winning pitcher. He was charged with 3 runs on 8 hits, while walking 1 and striking out 3. His record now stands at 6-3. With the win, Gryfindor goes to 25-20, while the Fog fall to 23-22.
The game turned with two out in the top of the fourth when Medine, who is tied for 8th in the PAAA in RBI with 28, hit a run-scoring single. It propelled the Braves into the lead, 2-1.
"We were able to get some things going offensively," said Medine.
