Lake Monsters Fall to Taylor, Great Lakers
|
The Pure Michigan Great Lakers bested the Vermont Lake Monsters, 10-7, at Monster Field. Mike Taylor was named player of the game. He was 2-4 with a home run and a walk. He scored 3 times and drove in 3. Martín Flores picked up the win with 7.2 innings of work. He allowed 4 earned runs on 6 hits, while walking 2 and striking out 5. On the season, he is now 4-2. Tsugahara Hori earned the save, his 9th.
One important at-bat came with runners on 1st and 3rd in the top of the seventh, when Taylor hit a 3-run home run. The Great Lakers went on to win.
"We maximized our offense today," said Pure Michigan skipper Armando Saldaña. "That makes everyone's life easier."
Pure Michigan is now 16-25, Vermont 15-26.
