|
Bakersfield pitcher Valentín Rivera did his part in helping his team beat the Milton Dogfish Head, 3-2. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Rick Converse locked down his 5th save. Bakersfield has now won 3 in a row.
In the bottom of the 4th, the Nobles grabbed the lead when Alfredo García rapped a two-out triple. Bakersfield was trailing 2-0, when García hit a bases-clearing triple off Juan Reyes to put his team in front, 3-2.
"You come to the ballpark to do your job and that's what I did today," Rivera told the Bakersfield Bulletin.
