|
The Oakland Oaks picked up a win at Oakland Coliseum, knocking off the Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC, 9-2. Starting pitcher José García played a key role in the triumph. García, now 5-9, was the winner. In 8.2 innings, he gave up 7 hits, while striking out 6, walking 0, and allowing 2 earned runs. Oakland now sits in 9th place in the Premier League at 35-49.
Also having an impact was first baseman Bryce Reilly, who stroked a double in the bottom of the third for Oakland. For the game, Reilly went 1 for 3.
