The Athletic Club KC did just enough to secure a 3-2 victory over the Richardson City Thundercats at Athletics Park. Nobody did more than pitcher Vincent Hall, who captured player of the game honors. The Athletic Club KC, at 40-43, sit in 6th place in the Premier League.
The Athletic Club KC were down to their last out in the bottom of the ninth when right fielder Rick Atkinson turned a 2-2 fastball from Armando Gonzáles into a 2-run home run. The walk-off home run sent a roar through the crowd and gave Athletic Club KC a thrilling 3-2 win.
"Vincent was pounding the zone," said Athletic Club KC manager Andy Mayfield.
