Dragoons Raise Rally Flag, Beat Connetquot, 5-2

The Louisiana Dragoons defeated the Connetquot Chiefs, 5-2, in M3L Single A action at The Big Teepee, with Louisiana pitcher Andrew Holloway named player of the game. Louisiana reliever Cornelius Bigelow picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Leon Siebert took the loss. Gary Mason, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 2nd save.
Héctor Rúbio was a key contributor to the win for the Dragoons. In the top of the eighth with one out, the light-hitting pinch hitter stroked a single to right. He went 1-1. He drove in 2 runs.
"Feels good to get the job done," Holloway said after the game.
With the loss, Connetquot sinks to 2-5.
