Thundercats Hang 4-3 Loss on Renaissance
|
The Richardson City Thundercats downed the Detroit Renaissance, 4-3, at The Thunder Dome. The Thundercats were led by Joey Jones, who captured player of the game honors. He went 3-4 with a triple and 2 singles. Cordell Wilson picked up the win, improving his season record to 8-5. He struck out 5 in 6 innings. Armando Gonzáles earned the save for Richardson City, his 1st.
It could have been a different outcome for Richardson City, had it not been for Yuji Ine, the 34-year old third baseman . Ine contributed a run-scoring double in the bottom of the sixth inning to put Richardson City up, 4-3.
"I felt good up there," said Jones. "I saw the ball well."
Richardson City now sits in second place in the Premier League at 45-35.
