Benefiting from Terry Armstrong's productive game, the Boston Patriots downed the Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC, 7-1. Armstrong was 3-5 with a double and 2 singles for the Patriots. Boston reliever Kirby Brown picked up the win, upping his record to 6-1. Jorge Castillo shouldered the loss. Boston improves to 46-25 with the win. They lead their division by 6˝ games.

Bill Chambers, who is tied for 6th in the PL in triples with 3, aided the Boston cause with a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth. For the game, the shortstop was 1-4 with a walk.

"We were the better team today. Maybe that won't be the case next game, but we'll enjoy it for now," Chambers told the Boston Times.
