|
Chicago Hawks starter Mark Bell turned in a sterling performance against the Las Vegas Flamingos, leading his team to a slim 2-0 win. Bell went 7.2 innings to notch the win. He scattered 6 hits, walked 3, and struck out 5. His record improves to 4-6. The Hawks sit in last place in the Third League with a record of 30-53.
Also doing his part was first baseman Raśl Aguirre, who stroked a single in the bottom of the fourth for Chicago. For the game, Aguirre went 1-3.
"We came out with the short end of the stick," said Las Vegas skipper JJ Hoban.
